2. Additional Notes

  • Industry-standard format
    • Regarding NFT transaction history:
Since the cryptocurrency paid/received for NFT trades and the NFT contract name are included, we treat these as swap transactions. For NFTs, a custom coin is automatically generated in cryptact based on the contract name listed in the file.
    • Regarding cryptocurrency purchases using points:
These transactions appear in the file as “Transaction Type: Other” with “Remarks: Point Exchange,” and are automatically processed as acquisitions at market value. Please note that while point usage may generally require income recognition, this is outside the scope of crypto P&L calculation. Our system only calculates the average acquisition cost and gains/losses of the crypto obtained through points. For the tax treatment of the points themselves, please handle it at your discretion, in line with how you treat other point-based transactions.
    • Transaction Type: Other / Remarks: System Fee
Because it is not possible for third parties to determine the actual nature of this transaction, it results in an error and the file cannot be uploaded. (*except for some transactions) Please remove the corresponding entry from the CSV file before uploading (see [this page] for instructions on how to edit a CSV file). If the transaction affects your profit/loss, please submit it separately using a custom file. (*)Please note that although the transaction type for the MKR, and BAT sale are listed as "Other," we have confirmed that it corresponds to the MKR, and BAT delisting event and have therefore processed it automatically.
    • Transaction Type: Hard Fork
Since the processing method may vary depending on the coin, these entries will result in an error and cannot be uploaded. If you send the file to cryptact support desk, we will check whether it can be processed.
    • Transaction Date: May 8, 2025 / Transaction Type: Other / Remarks: System Fee / Decreased Currency: LSK

Transaction Date: May 8, 2025 / Transaction Type: Hard Fork / Increased Currency: LSK
Since both the old and new LSK are treated as the same currency in our system, these transactions will not be reflected even if uploaded.

    • Transaction Type: Other / Increased Currency: JPY / Remarks: System Fee

This is reflected in the system as CASH.

    • Transaction Type: Hard Fork / Increased Currency: BCH, FLR, XYM

These are treated as bonus acquisitions with a cost basis of zero.

  • Transaction History File
    • NFT Item Purchase/Purchased(Please note that support for the Transaction History File has now ended.) :
As the file does not contain information to identify the NFT itself, we process only the cryptocurrency paid or received in NFT trades as follows: Please note that there are no clear tax guidelines for NFTs, so we recommend confirming the final treatment with your local tax office.

If the operation is “NFT Item Purchase” or “Purchased”:

If the Amount is positive: treated as a purchase at market value

If the Amount is negative: treated as a payment/sale at market value

3.Transactions Not Automatically Reflected

If you can identify the details of your transactions—such as by checking them on the exchange’s interface—please create a Custom File and enter the transactions yourself before uploading it.
