How to convert DeFi transactions

This page explains how to use the convert function for DeFi transactions.

1. What is the convert function?

A: It allows you to manually edit DeFi transactions

This function allows you to manually edit, exclude and delete DeFi transactions.
When you "convert" a DeFi transaction, an editable instance of the transaction is generated.
*When a DeFi transaction is converted, the original DeFi transaction is automatically excluded from the PNL calculation, so it is not double-counted.

By utilizing the convert function, you can fix invalid DeFi transactions in the same way as you fix non-DeFi transactions.

Currently, DeFi transactions cannot be manually edited, excluded, or deleted. If you have invalid transactions in DeFi, you cannot use the "Repair Ledger" button (Ledger repair wizard) to fix them. To fix invalid transactions in DeFi, you previously needed to first update the DeFi transaction to "Fee Only" to exclude it and then upload the transaction history via a custom file (for details, please refer here).

You can continue to use these steps to fix invalid transactions in DeFi, or alternatively, now you can also use the "convert" function which was introduced on December 8th, 2022, and directly edit the transaction on the screen without using custom files.

4. Please note

Currently, once a DeFi transaction is converted, you cannot revert it back to its original state (i.e. the original DeFi transaction will remain excluded). As explained in 2.10 above, you can make edits to the transaction generated by the conversion by clicking the "Edit", "Exclude", or "Delete" button.
