DeFi: How to exclude DeFi fees from the PNL calculation

This page explains how to exclude fees incurred in DeFi transactions (transaction type: DEFIFEE) from the PNL calculation. This feature is available from September 10, 2026.

1. When DeFi fees are reflected in the Transactions tab

In the following cases, fees such as gas fees incurred in DeFi transactions are reflected in the Transactions tab as "DEFIFEE" and included in the PNL calculation.

• Transactions set to "Fee only" in the DeFi transactions tab: The transaction itself is excluded from the PNL calculation, but if a fee was incurred, only the fee is reflected as "DEFIFEE".
• Transactions that only incur a fee (such as token approvals): Since the transaction consists only of a fee, it is reflected as "DEFIFEE".

The transaction itself is not shown in the Transactions tab, but the fee remains as "DEFIFEE" and is included in the PNL calculation.

You can exclude these DeFi fees from the PNL calculation by clicking "Exclude fee" on the transaction details screen in the Transactions tab. For example, use this if the same fee is also registered via a custom file and is being double-counted.

*DEFIFEE transactions cannot be edited or deleted with the convert function (DeFi: How to edit DeFi transactions (convert function)).

2. How to exclude DeFi fees

1) In the "Transactions" tab, click the "DEFIFEE" transaction you want to exclude.

2) On the transaction details screen, click "Exclude fee".

*For transactions set to "Fee only" in the DeFi transactions tab, the message "This transaction is set to Fee only. Press 'Exclude fee' to exclude the fee as well from your profit and loss calculation." is displayed.

3) The "Exclude DeFi fee" confirmation dialog appears. Click "Exclude".

4) The message "This transaction is pending DeFi fee exclusion. Please synchronize your wallet." is displayed.

5) In the "DeFi transactions" tab, click "Sync" to start synchronization.

6) Once synchronization is complete, the message "This transaction, including its DeFi fee, is excluded from your profit and loss calculation." is displayed for the transaction in the DeFi transactions tab, and the DeFi fee is removed from the Transactions tab.

3. How to revert the fee exclusion

To revert the fee exclusion, follow the steps below.

1) In the "DeFi transactions" tab, click "Revert" for the relevant transaction.

2) A message is displayed indicating that reverting the DeFi fee exclusion is pending and that you need to sync. Click "Sync".

3) Once synchronization is complete, the manual edits made in the DeFi transactions tab (including the "Fee only" selection) are cancelled, and the transaction returns to its state before the manual edits (e.g., "To classify"). If necessary, select the transaction type again and sync.

*Once excluded, the DeFi fee is no longer shown in the Transactions tab, so the exclusion can only be reverted from the DeFi transactions tab.
