This help page explains the causes and solutions for "To classify- Others."
Contents:
1.Introduction
For basic instructions on how to use DeFi features and how to resolve unidentified transactions, please refer to the help pages below.
When resolving unidentified transactions, please make sure that the correct transaction type has been selected.
After reviewing the above, if transactions are still categorized as “To classify-Other” under Unclassified, please refer to this help page for further assistance.
2.About Swaps Occurring in Multi-Transactions
In cryptact, swaps and NFT trades are generally identified automatically based on the deposit and withdrawal information contained within a single transaction. However, when deposits and withdrawals are split across multiple transactions, cryptact currently does not support linking them together and recognizing them as a “Swap” or “NFT Trade.”
If You Would Like Automatic Identification
Please send the relevant transaction hash to our support team.
After reviewing the details, we will investigate whether automatic identification can be supported.
Notes
- Please note that we cannot guarantee automatic identification for all transactions.
- Depending on the transaction details or blockchain specifications, support may not be possible in some cases.
If Automatic Identification Is Difficult
We apologize for the inconvenience, but please create a custom file and manually reflect the transaction details.
In this case, please select “Exclude” for the relevant transaction in the DeFi transaction list.
3.Incorrect Transaction Type Selected Despite Being a Bridge Transaction
Resolution Method
First, please confirm that the relevant transaction is a bridge transaction.
Since there are no clearly established tax rules for bridge transactions, cryptact generally treats them as transfers of the same coin before and after the bridge.
Therefore, please select “Fee only” as the transaction type for the relevant transaction in the DeFi transaction list.
If “Fee only” Is Selected
- The deposit and withdrawal history will be excluded from profit/loss calculations.
- If fees such as gas fees are incurred, they will be automatically processed as “DeFi Fees.” DeFi fees are always included in profit/loss calculations.
If the Coin Amount Decreases After Bridging
If the coin amount decreases during the bridge process, please add the reduced amount as a transaction record in a custom file.
Please note that there are currently no clear rules regarding whether the reduced amount can be treated as a loss. You should make the final determination based on your own judgment.
Example Entries
- If treating the reduction as a loss
→ Transaction Type: “LOSS” - If reducing the held quantity
→ Transaction Type: “REDUCE”
If You Want to Treat Bridged Coins as Separate Coins
If you would like to manage coins received after bridging as separate assets, please create a custom coin and upload it as a custom transaction.
Examples include:
- ETH → zkSync ETH
- USDC → Base USDC
In this case, coins on different chains can be managed as separate assets.
If the Issue Still Persists
After reviewing the above information, if unidentified transactions categorized as “Other” still remain unresolved, please contact support using the “Support” button at the bottom of the Help Center page.
(Please include the relevant transaction hash in your inquiry.)
