This page explains about the message "Detected a zero volume transaction on {coin name}".
Contents
1. What is "Detected a zero volume transaction"
This message is displayed when a transaction is uploaded that is rounded to zero when rounded to the 21st decimal place.
We currently support up to the 20th decimal place. We identify and inform you of transactions with very small volumes that would result in a zero when rounded to the 21st decimal place as "zero volume transactions".
2. Examples of "Detected a zero volume transaction"
Example: 0.01 ETH was used to get 1234567891234567891234AAA. (ETH and AAA swap)
The price per AAA can be calculated as 0.00000000...... ETH by dividing 0.01 ETH by 1234567891234567891234 AAA. However, since 0.00000000...... ETH is an extremely small number that cryptact cannot recognize, the transaction price (the price of the counter currency per base currency) is registered as 1 AAA = 0 ETH. As a result, the history will show that 0 ETH was used, even though 0.01 ETH was actually used for the swap.
3. Solution
If you would like to have numbers smaller than the 21st decimal place reflected in the cryptact, please upload it as a Custom trade.
In the case of the above example, the number of ETH used can be reflected in cryptact by dividing the history into two separate transactions: (1) Buy AAA in JPY and (2) Sell ETH in JPY.
The original transaction should be "delete" to avoid double counting.
How to add/edit/delete transactions manually from the screen
(1) BUY AAA in JPY
Timestamp | Action | Source | Base | Volume | Price | Counter | Fee | FeeCcy | Comment |
Trade datetime | BUY | any | AAA | 1234567891234567891234 | *1 | JPY | 0 | JPY | any |
*1 If the base currency is one of cryptact’s supported coins, we will refer to the market price. However, you may also provide the price you researched yourself.
If it is not cryptact’s supported coins, please look up the "Base currency price in Counter currency" by yourself. The price of ETH per AAA coin can be calculated by dividing the total number of settlement currency coins by the total number of main currency coins. Once you've calculated the price of ETH per 1 AAA coin, please convert the ETH amount to its Japanese yen equivalent at the market rate at the time of the transaction, and enter it in the price field.
(2) SELL ETH in JPY
Timestamp | Action | Source | Base | Volume | Price | Counter | Fee | FeeCcy | Comment |
Trade datetime | SELL | any | ETH | 0.01 | *1 | JPY | 0 | JPY | any |
*1 If the base currency is one of cryptact’s supported coins, we will refer to the market price. However, you may also provide the price you researched yourself.
