1.What Is the "Starting Balance" Function?
This feature allows you to import calculations results from other company tools.
By registering the "coin balances held at the beginning of the fiscal year (positions)" and the "average acquisition cost of each coin," you can avoid the need to import history from previous fiscal years. This makes it easy to switch from other providers.
When using this feature, data from previous years will automatically be locked (see more details from this link). For example, if you use this feature to input coin balances and average acquisition costs to start calculations on cryptact from January 1, 2024, the history up to and including 2023 will be locked. Therefore, even if you attempt to upload history via API or files, no new history will be added to finalized years, and only history from 2024 onward will be reflected via API or file uploads.
2.Recommended for Whom?
This feature is recommended for the following individuals:
- Those who are unsure about how to switch from other providers.
- Those who find it a hassle to upload all transaction history from scratch, especially when they have calculation results from the previous fiscal year readily available and want to make use of them.
Please note that using this feature requires information on the "coin balances held at the beginning of the fiscal year" and the "average acquisition cost of each coin."
