1. When the Xpub is Required

For blockchains that use the UTXO model, a new receiving address is created for every transaction. In order to automatically import all transaction history, you’ll need to use an xpub key.Examples of blockchains using the UTXO system

  • Bitcoin (cryptact added support on 18th Sep 2025)
Each blockchain generates its own unique xpub key, so you must export it separately for every coin you transact with. Depending on the wallet, the xpub key may be easy to find, while some wallets do not display it at all. Even if it isn’t shown directly, you can usually derive the xpub key from your recovery phrase. 
 

2. How to Obtain the Xpub from Ledger

1．Log in to Ledger Live, and select the account which you would like to get the xPub.

2．Click the wrench (spanner) icon on the right side of the screen.

3．In the “Edit Account” window that appears, open the Advanced section, then copy the alphanumeric string that begins with xpub.
