API sync status is lost - cause and resolution

This article explains why the API sync status becomes lost and how to recover it.

 

Cause 1: Trade history which was fetched by the API was deleted for a certain period of time

If the trade history which was originally fetched by the API is deleted for the whole year or completely, the API sync status becomes lost and shows as "Not Synchronized" (deleting one trade would not trigger the API status to become lost).

 

Resolution: Click the "Sync" button to synchronize

Cause 2: API is no longer supported by the exchange

If an exchange stops the API support, cryptact will also stop the API support for that exchange. In this case, "The following endpoint(s) became unavailable and has/have been removed from this API key." will be displayed as below. In addition, please note the following when an exchange stops the API support.

・Trade history that was fetched via the API will not be deleted from the ledger.

・If you delete the trade history which was fetched by the API and the exchange API no longer supports it, that trade history will not be fetched even if you click the "Sync" button again.
